New England Workers Prepare for Overseas Assignments

As 2018 came to a close, the Alliance family was faced with a great opportunity and challenge. More than 60 international workers were trained and ready to depart to locations across the globe to spread the love of Jesus and the eternal peace that comes through relationship with Him. But the Alliance was facing a budget shortfall. We asked our district to rise to this challenge and ensure not a single worker was left behind and unable to fulfill their calling by contributing to the Year-End offering for the Great Commission Fund. We are excited to announce that as a district, we generously gave $78,683 towards the GCF in December! Wow. And more than $500,000 was donated through the Year End Offering by all Alliance [...]

Send The Workers: Let’s Meet the Challenge

As 2018 comes to an end, the Alliance Family is faced with a great blessing that also brings forth a great challenge. We currently have 60 vetted, trained, and prepared international workers ready to go out into the field next year. This is a record number for us. Twice as many as the C&MA has had in previous years. Praise the Lord! Historically, the number of workers has been on a decline, and led us to pray for God to provide the people. He answered. And He came through abundantly. Now the challenge. We need the funds to send these workers. The Alliance is currently behind budget in our Great Commission Fund. To be exact, we are $1.2 million behind this fiscal year. Now our prayer is [...]

The 2018 Impact Report from the Christian & Missionary Alliance is now available for churches and congregations to review. The report highlights the impact C&MA missions and outreach programs are having both here in the United States and globally around the world. Of all the programs the C&MA could have highlighted in the U.S., one of the two chosen to be shared in this report is about YOU, the New England Region. Check out Page 8 for a closer look at how our efforts are being recognized. Overall, the report is such an encouragement for our individual churches. While we may feel small at times, when we see the collective impact our efforts are [...]

An International Thanksgiving Dinner

In America, Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to gather with friends, family and loved ones to share a bounty of food and give thanks for our many blessings. For students, it is also a time to take a break from studies and return home. Unfortunately, for international students studying here from abroad, returning home and gathering with family are out of the equation, leaving them alone on campus. Creating an International Student Ministry Recognizing the needs of these international students, a Thanksgiving dinner was hosted at Maple Ridge Church. “In starting an international student ministry, we want to serve students in any way that we can,” explained Hannah Shipman, who coordinated the dinner. “We knew this dinner could be an opportunity to [...]
